Think about it. What Michael Harrington proposed in the 70’s and 80’s is that we (liberal, lefty and progressive) change the Democratic party for the better. What attracted me to Daily Kos was that same objective. What has happened in the intervening years is that the Democratic party has moved to the center right; the 3rd Way is now firmly in control and in charge of the apparatus.
Is it wrong for the Sanders campaign to try to bring the Democratic party back to the direction that earned the love of great and growing middle class? Hell no! Most of us who have hung in here at the Daily Kos see the need for the party to move back to the populist left.
